Self Awareness
Self Awareness simply means to be aware of yourself. In order to be aware, you must develop a deep sense of who you are in order to connect to yourself.
Get to know your..
- Likes/dislikes
- Wants/Needs
- Strengths/Weaknesses
- Values
- Emotions
- Triggers
- Who you are
- Who you want to be
Self awareness is the foundation to escaping toxic patterns.
Knowing who you are and knowing where you want to be provides you with the insight needed to bridge the gap and resist anything that doesn’t coincide with who you are becoming.
Boundaries
A boundary is a limit that defines healthy and appropriate behaviors within relationships.
Setting boundaries teach others how to treat you and ultimately how to respect you. Lacking boundaries is equivalent to telling yourself and others that you don’t matter.
Examples of Healthy Boundaries
- Saying No When you don’t want to do something
- Expressing Yourself Clearly
- Being Honest About Experiences & Feelings
- Vocalizing your Needs
- Rejecting things that don’t make you feel good
- Clearly stating expectations
Once boundaries are set, it is up to you to hold those in your circle accountable to respecting them. You can escape toxic behaviors by not only holding others accountable, but holding yourself accountable to doing something different when boundaries are crossed.
Following Your Energy
What gives you energy? What makes you happy? What makes you feel calm and at peace? The answers to these questions will guide you to the things and people that bring out the best in you.
When I think of positive and negative energy, I think of a Bank Account and interest. Following your energy is like receiving interest on your investments.
On the other hand, participating in things that deplete your energy is like having a nonstop unexpected debt. When you participate in things that bring out the worst in you, your energy becomes depleted.
When you are able to be your best self, you become a magnet to more energy.
Tips to Following Your Energy
- Limit Time with those that Bring you down
- Don’t engage in activities that are going to drain you mentally and emotionally
- If something doesn’t feel right, follow your intuition
- Learn how to read the room so that your energy brings light and not darkness
- Start doing more of the things make you happy
- Be around more of the people that consistently bring out the best in you where there is no weird energy.
Becoming One with Your Body
This is HUGE! Our bodies provide us with so many hints and clues of people and situations that aren’t good for us. Becoming One with your body means being in tune with your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well being.
Children as young as infants have an understanding of being one with your body. Have you ever noticed a child being happy and free and suddenly a stranger walks into the room and the child goes closer to their parents?
The child has the ability to recognize that the person is a stranger and perceives the person as a threat to them.
Have you ever noticed your bodies physical responses when being around a certain person?
Here are some Responses To Toxicity
- Nervousness
- Heart Racing
- Anxiety
- Sweating
- Shortness of Breath
- Racing Thoughts
- Panic Attacks
- Heart Palpitations
- Headaches
- Feeling Uneasy
Please don’t ignore any of your bodies responses listed above. Sure there will be times when your heart races due to normal things. BUT if you are around one person and your body constantly responds like that there is definitely a reason for it that should not be ignored.
We have to align mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically to maximize the benefits of becoming one with out bodies.
Consistency
In a world full of darkness, selfishness, and pure evilness, it is important to understand that things and people are ALWAYS going to trigger you and try to encourage Toxic behaviors.
It is up to you to CONSISTENTLY practice Self Awareness, Set Boundaries, Follow Your Energy, and Become One With Your Body in order to escape toxic patterns.

You will no longer place yourself in situations that Bring out the worst in you and Drains your energy!
You will immediately remove yourself away from anything that doesn’t promote growth, prosperity, happiness, and love.
Your LIGHT is too Bright to allow even the smallest amount of darkness in.
